A Pair of important early 19th century French Empire Vases with burnt orange and rich deep gilding to body of vases which have large paintings of very detailed classical landscapes to front, rich profusion of summer flowers to back.

The handles of the vases in the shape lion heads in unglazed gilding typical of this early Empire period.

The underside of one vase has the impressed number 9.
