Item No. 10122: A Large Gilded French (Paris) Cup and Saucer, ca. 1840

The cup and saucer are painted in beautiful detail with roses and summer flowers, all on polished gilded ground with gilded leaf design to interior of cup, a scroll handle leaning into the interior of the cup.
French, Paris, c. 1840. A glued label to saucer saying that the cup and saucer were given to Andrew Douglas by Madame Adelaide, Sister to Louis Philippe.
