Two highly amusing porcelain and figures of Harlequins, one harlequin playing a cat with a violin bow to make fun of music played on a violin, the other harlequin using a piglet as a bagpipe, again making fun of the sound made by a bagpipe. Both harlequins in diamond pattern coats, hats and bells and mischievous expressions, Vienna beehive mark to base, Austrian, first part of the 19th century, impressend date marks.
